July 2026 Newsletter Includes Funding Opportunities, Policy Updates and Summer Events
July 2, 2026

Our July newsletter is now available, bringing together the latest funding opportunities, farming policy updates and upcoming events for Isle of Wight farmers, land managers and rural businesses.

With prolonged dry weather continuing to affect us all, this month’s edition focuses on helping businesses build resilience and make the most of the support currently available. The first application window for Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI26) is now open, but demand has been extremely high, with around 25% of available funding already allocated. We also look ahead to the reopening of Capital Grants later this month and highlight a wide range of other grants and funding opportunities.

The newsletter also includes the Government’s newly published Farming Roadmap and Bovine TB Eradication Strategy, alongside updates from Southern Water, information on local funding programmes and details of this year’s Royal Isle of Wight County Show.

As the busy summer season continues, we also highlight Farm Safety Week (20–24 July), encouraging everyone to take a moment to review working practices and help ensure that everyone gets home safely at the end of each day.

Read the full July newsletter below, and as always, if Wight Rural Hub can help signpost you to information, funding opportunities or specialist advice, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
