Further to the success of our Succession Seminar last year, we have invited Becky Miles from Real Success back to provide workshops for us on Thursday 14 November.

We are excited to announce our New Entrants/Young Farmers Skills Training Workshop, scheduled to take place on Thursday 14 November from 18:00 to 21:30. This workshop aims to provide invaluable insights and practical knowledge to young farmers and new entrants in the agricultural sector and beyond.

Agenda:

18:00-19:30 Team dynamics, including scenarios – understanding yourself and how to influence others

19:30-20:00 Supper (please advise of any dietary requirements in advance)

20:00-21:30 Making connections, finding opportunities, presenting yourself in the best light, ‘prepare, prepare, prepare’ to have best chance for success; including Farm Business Tenancy (FBT) preparation and business plan considerations, all of which are essential for the success of aspiring farmers/landowners, whilst also being transferable skills

This will put you on the right course for success. Managing people is the biggest headache for most farmers. Alongside your passion for farming, understand the importance of relationships when running a business that can lead to success (or failure).

John Heather will also cover life insurance, income protection etc.
